In the interest of transparency and out of respect to the many people who have already contributed to this wonderful little project, we have decided to publish our full budget for the project.

How long is a piece of string…?

It is notoriously difficult to put a price tag to animation, especially when trying something new or different.

Our approach to this project has always been not to compromise on quality but to still make it as do-able as possible. We want to create something world class that will be exponentially more effective at spreading the message of Autism Acceptance

This is a snapshot of what this project will cost and how much we have raised so far…

Why so much money?

Animation is an expensive art form, especially when done right. Here are some rough comparisons of the per-minute cost of some well-known shows and movies to help put this budget into perspective.

How can I help?

Sam needs all the help he can get to get his film made. If you would like to help, there are a few ways that would be very helpful:

  1. SPREAD THE WORD – it’s free and easy! Tell your friends and family about the project and send them to our website or social media pages:
  2. DONATE SOME MOOLAH! Giving cash is probably the most helpful thing you could do. Good artists need to be paid! We have a donation page where you can donate via bank transfer, credit card or Paypal.
  3. BUY SOME MERCH – we have a growing collection of T-shirts, posters, stickers and so on for sale and all the proceeds go towards making the film.
  4. OFFER SOME TIME – there is loads to be done and you could always donate some time instead of cash:
    • we regularly have interns coming in to help build the sets. Email us if you would like to come join our studio in Jozi for a couple weeks and do some painting & glueing.
    • If you are a 2D frame-by-frame animator and would like to animate a shot or two – get in touch
